The Concept

Transilience

“Transilience is the skill that enables us to intentionally transfer resources — skills, behaviours, meanings and energy — across our roles, making us stronger in every situation.”

We live within a paradigm that presents our roles as competing with one another: more roles = less time, as though we were a cake to be divided into slices.

But our identity does not work that way.

Research involving more than 70,000 people has shown that every transition — a separation, an illness, a new job, becoming a parent — can add resources to the map of our lives.

Our roles can help one another: when one faces a challenge, the others can lend it resources. This is the power of transilience.
